I ran into Chaco and Keisuke at the Ikebukuro arcade today. *waves* This is the first time I've run into a DDR friend at an arcade without prior arrangement! I think I've met Keisuke before, at one of the DDR meetups, but I forgot his name and had to ask him because I was introducing my friend... I fail. T_T
*sigh* I saw the Sagawa dude outside with his truck (he parks under my balcony), and I got all excited because I'm waiting for my camera. But no--the guy NEVER rang my doorbell, and I saw the truck drive off. I ran downstairs to get the parcel notice so I could get his number to call him, but it wasn't in my mailbox! And yet... the tracking number tells me there was a non-delivery. ARGH. I don't get it. T_T
Doug and I passed by Keio University while looking for this awesome Thai restaurant that had been featured in Metropolis. I made him take a picture, and once you see the picture you will know why:

That is so not a building that belongs in the heart of Tokyo. *groans* Oh Keio. It's a beautiful building, nonetheless!

Everyone at work could tell I wasn't feeling myself today. *facepalms* I'm not sure I enjoy being the walking personification of a person who wears her heart on her sleeve... Then again, when I feel good, I'd like the world to know. I want everyone else to feel as good as I do. <3
Berlitz just changed the dress code. Instead of office attire on weekdays and casual attire on weekends, now it's office attire seven days a week.
I already get cheated out of a lot of public holidays because there are _never_ public holidays on Saturdays and Sundays. The schedules are pretty much the same whether it's weekdays or weekends. Now they've taken away the last perk of working weekends, and I have to wear a suit or dress--with stockings--on weekends.
There is no benefit to volunteering to work weekends anymore. I may as well take Sundays off in the future and move it to Wednesday or Tuesday--at least I'll be able to spend more time with
doubt72 this way.
Weekend work just got completely negative. If they insist on implementing this on July 1st, I'm definitely moving my work shift.

I lost my e-Amusement card, so I inaugurated a new one today and attempted to play as many songs as possible to get back to level 20 (where I was when I'd lost the card).
Seeing all those "AI C"'s on the machine's high-scores lists is bittersweet. On one hand, it's great that I managed to set some local records no one else has managed to erase yet. On the other hand... dude, they're MY records--why can't _I_ break them? T_T

I'd just said goodbye to
doubt72 and walked about ten steps when a guy says to me, "Sumimasen (Excuse me)." Thinking he was lost, I turned to him, and he said something in Japanese I didn't understand. I said I didn't understand Japanese (shortcut), and he seemed surprised. Apparently he wasn't lost, since that didn't cause him to turn away and look elsewhere, so I asked, "Ano, nani ga aru desuka? (Um, is something the matter?)"
He shook his head. "Iie, tada beautiful omotta. (No, I just thought you were beautiful.)"
O_o
I thanked him and walked away.

The Tokyu Hands has a lot of train-related merchandise. This makes me inexplicably happy! ♥ Yes, I am hopeless with this whole train thing. Maybe I should go to Germany some day--the trains work awesomely there too. ^_^
OMG. The Swallows are actually second in the league. Go Swallows! *plots attendance to see if she can attend more games*
Correction--seven trains in a row. This is ridiculous!
I've been waiting for 6 trains in a row at the railroad crossing. Bugger--it's 11:15pm! Worst part is the elevator's closed for the night. Argh.
Rain, rain, go away / come again another May / Rain, rain, go away / Ai Ling's tired of wet hair days.
I forgot about the strawberry bagel I'd warmed up in the microwave! (-_-) Now I _have_ to go back on my break.
Brain still on vacation, what's left was successfully pulverized by students. Using big words, no critical thoughts left.
I found a sub! *sags in relief* I'm on my way to the airport with an hour to spare (instead of only having about 15 minutes). Oh thank the lord for small favors. ♥ Bye guys--on my way to Okinawa! ♥ Be good while I'm gone! I probably won't have pictures but will definitely post if I can find anything post-worthy. Otherwise, I'll see you all when I get back!
My last class ends at 3:15, meaning the earliest I can catch the monorail to Haneda airport is 3:25. My flight is at 4:10.
Holy crap why did I not just tell my boss to block off that period? (I know why--I usually finish at 1:45pm on Saturdays, and I was completely unprepared for the 3:15 end.) There's a long story here that is no one's fault but my own, but oh shit, _scramble_ for cover never had such an immediate meaning. O_o
Oh man oh man I hope I don't miss my flight.

Swallows, how could you lose 0-4 to the Giants? *sad* Are you trying to make me switch loyalties? The Nippon Ham Fighters have a great batter called Kaneko, you know.
Is it just me, or is everyone going through Akiba today? ^_^;;; It definitely feels like it. I never cease to be amazed by how easy it is to be lonely in a city of 12 million people.
Not only did I leave Saeki at home, I also left my cellphone at home. *sighs* I could go home and get it, or I could just deal with not having it around. I wonder which I'll choose...
I do have to go to the bank. Going home and then coming back would take too much time. I guess I just stay disconnected all day. *not happy about that* Serve me right for forgetting my phone, though.

*makes a face* It's raining, and now my laundry is wet again. Maybe I should have taken the laundry in when I woke up this morning. *sheepish* Oh well, I'll leave it out another day or two.
